Welcome to our "U.S. Locations Postcards" department! Here you will find all of those postcards that tourists and passer-bys would send to friends and family while out and about. With the exception of our Real Photo Postcard department, all postcards with a focus on a place, location or landmark will be listed here.

 

Postcards haven't changed in one regard... that they are easily picked up, jotted on and dropped in the mailbox quickly and conveniently... ideal for the tourist and traveler to send a note home. In the mid-20th century, everything from a famous mountain top to a glorious landmark to a roadside cafe were printed on postcards. The linens of the forties are perhaps the most abundant, coinciding with the golden age of traveling by automobile... and colorful, to boot!
