James H. Boye General Store Display Curtain Fixtures

Early general store display for James H. Boye Ornamental Curtain Fixtures in very good condtion. It does show signs of wear, some scuffs and scratches and tarnish to the metal pieces, but really could just stand to be cleaned! There is a small, unobtrusive split in the wood on the top piece... this is very minor and doesn't appear to be spreading. Please see the hi-res photos (link below) for much more detailed photographs. There is also a few small paint drops which could probably be removed with little difficulty.

Fantastic color and graphics on this piece. Most of this is made of what looks to be oak and walnut with an attractive dark stain that really brings out the grain. The turntable cover, made of metal, has a wood-grain finish with a slight reddish hue.

This is a fully functional "price finder"... just dial up the size of the curtain fixture and the clerk can read the corresponding price along with the items needed to "assemble" the desired fixture. The top flips open, back to front (so the clerk has access, not the customer) and reveals several compartments and more instructions and other information inside the top cover. The innards are in fine shape and very clean!

The display measures about 17¾" wide (including the sample pieces attached) by 15¾" front to back (including the sample brass fixture attached) by 8" deep including the back riser.
