Welcome to our "Advertising - Cooking & Food" Department! Below lies those little goodies that no 1940's kitchen was found to be without. Cooking booklets were used to promote single products, product lines and entire brands. In some cases, household appliance manufacturers teamed up with food manufacturers and included branded items for recipes in their instruction booklets that came with the appliance. Refrigerators, mixers and stove manuals often had numerous recipes that the new owner could try out. It's my opinion that the greatest thing about these little treasures is that with very little modification, the recipes are timeless and can be used in any modern kitchen with goods purchased at any supermarket today.
