De Witt & Co. :: Postcards :: A Rare Piece of China - Antique Postcard - Circa 1900 - Unsent - Matted

A Rare Piece of China - Antique Postcard - Circa 1900 - Unsent - Matted
A Rare Piece of China - Antique Postcard - Circa 1900 - Unsent - Matted
A fantastic and rare postcard in very good, perhaps excellent condition. Charming photo of a Chinese boy, titled "A Rare Piece of China". Partially matted... only one side of the postcard is attached to the matting, so it can be carefully removed, if desired. The matting exhibits wear and a bit of water marking... nothing major, however and it is suitable for reframing. (The marks on the outer edge indicate the card being framed in the past.)

Undivided back, unsent and undated, but most likely from around 1900. This is truly a unique postcard! This will be shipped carfully boxed, and not in a mailer. As with most of our postcards, the photos do not do it justice! The postcard measures about 5 1/2 " X 3 1/4 ", while the entire piece measures about 5" X 7".
