40s Floor-Length Dress Black Lace & Rayon Crepe

1940s sleek, short-sleeved dress with elaborate sheer lace inset. Rounded neckline, is wide, and lowered in both front, and back, with lace points cutting deep into the front bodice. The sheer lace yoke-like inset extends from front, over shoulders, to the back of the dress, edged with a zig-zag braid trim. Front, and back bodice have double tucks rising from waistline along princess lines. Skirt front, and back are three-gore along princess lines, and attach at natural waistline. Dress has side snap closure with hook & eye at waistline... Also a single covered button & loop closure at back neck, above low cutout that is somewhat squared at the bottom.
Black rayon crepe, and lace. Very Good Condition! A few minor breaks in the lace at shoulders, and some tiny pulled threads in the skirt. No other damages of any kind to the dress. Garment was measured laying flat on a table:
19 1/2" across at bust
17" across at waist
21" across at hips
57" long.
Direct from auction, should be laundered/cleaned before use.
