1910s cotton day dress in very good condition. Dress has some small rust spots near lower edge in front, and has one small hole, on the skirt side-front, about level with the lower edge of inset. No other damages of any kind. Wide tucks run the length at either side of center-front inset, with side-front snap closure hidden beneath. Single center-front wide tuck below the inset, this has the look of a placket. Inset is slightly gathered at neck edge with bias tape binding. Flat collar is sailor-style in back. Dress originally had a wide, ruched cotton cumberbund but that piece is now missing. Pure cotton shirting fabric, purple, and lavender pinstripes on white. Cloth is in very good condition, still strong. Dress was measured laying flat on a table: 12 1/2" between shoulder seams 19 1/4" sleeve length 19" across at bust 15" across at waist 23" across at hips 47" long Direct from auction, should be laundered/cleaned before use.
