Well, lots to catch up on! We've archived our past
update pages, so if you need to refer to them, follow
the "Product Update Archive" links below. Starting
off our update, on the left is a treat for the vintage
sewing collector, a Vintage
Butterick Patterns Wood Ad Mat. This is truly a
rare find, as these were destroyed after they were used.
You can find other neat novelties like this in our
Vintage Advertising department. Next is a delight
for the fashion aficionado... a 1949 issue of The
Californian magazine, loaded with fashions!
This can be found in our
Vintage Women's Magazines department. Next to
that is another vintage magazine, but this one having a
far different appeal to the collector... a 1915 issue of
The Saturday Evening Post with a Scottish soldier
on the cover. We have a department dedicated just
for
Saturday Evening Post issues. Next is a
wonderful Vintage Sheer Cotton Faille, with tiny white
blossoms. This is 36" wide and over four yards in
length and can be found in our
Sheer & Semi-Sheer Cottons department. On the
right is a treat for the map collector... an Arrow
Street Guide for Hartford, Connecticut, dated 1943.
This is located in our
1940's Road Maps department.

That vivid print on the left is a wonderful cotton
fabric, ideal for the quilter or even making garments.
This one is sold by the half-yard and can be found in
our
Vintage Cotton Fabric, Prints department. The
elegant figure in the middle is yet another rare find
that we've come across... an antique oilcloth panel from
Bernhard Ulmann, dated 1909 and titled "Fireside".
We do not know the artist, but we welcome any
information on this! In any case, it measures
about 23" square and would look wonderful framed.
The photos simply cannot do this justice! On the
right is a vintage feed sack, houndstooth print.
Quilters should have a look into our
Vintage Feed Sacks department!

The little curio on the left is a really interesting
piece, albeit rather bland to look at. This is a
I. Magnin & Co. business card probably from the 1950's
or before. We had to look up information on this
company, which was absorbed by present-day Macy's and
oddly enough, the name was resurrected in 2006 for use
as a fashion label! The middle photo represents a
1931 issue of Woman's World Magazine with great cover
depicting a couple walking on a rainy, windy day.
We have lots to choose from in our
Vintage Magazine Departments. Finally, we have
a great juvenile print cotton fabric, with sailboats,
anchors and other "sailing" motifs. This is sold
by the half-yard and can be found in our
Quilting Cottons, Prints department.
Thanks for stopping by, and
we'll have much more to come soon!

Inventory: A Constant Battle!
We can't possibly list every item we have on the web
site. We try to get to items as fast as they come
in, but without a small army of robots entering data and
snapping photos, this battle will go on. So, if
you don't see what you're looking for, please drop us a
line and if we don't have it, there's a good chance that
we can either get it for you, or put you in touch with
another dealer that does have it.
Thanks for taking a peek at our new items page!
We're continuously adding items to our store, so don't
forget to check back often! |
